about

This is the first track off the debut release, Half-life, by The Trampoline Delay. Despite being written in 2020, this song has a bit of an early 90's rock vibe to it. So if you liked early Sloan or perhaps Dinosaur Jr., you'll probably like this track.

lyrics

With a running start I hit the ground
And I look around but you can’t be found
I know your close but there’s no sound
So there’s nothing left but to turn around

With a running start I turn and run
For so many years you were the one
Empty nights turned you to stone
So with nothing left you had to roam

We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town
We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town

With a running start I’ll hit the night
When you’re tired of this wasted fight
I hear your voice and I know your down
so I try again but you can’t be found

We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town
We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town

With a little luck I’ll make my move
But I know you have so much to prove

We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town
We’re going down, What a letdown
We’re going down, in this town
